Students
When students come through the doors of The International Community School, they bring with them stories and experiences from around the world.
While many of these stories are about broken nations and neighborhoods, they also bring many other stories about hope against all odds, unending curiosity and drive, and the courage to encounter others who are different with justice, integrity, and compassion.
At ICS, our students come together to learn the stories of the world, to build community in diversity, and to succeed in a rigorous academic curriculum that prepares them for the future.
Roughly half of
ICS students are immigrants/refugees, many of them child survivors of war. The other half are native-born Americans from surrounding neighborhoods.
